Stuart Briscar | Discover Your Mental Potential

Every year, millions of people try to set goals and fail miserably. But I am going to give you some tips to make it easier for you to reach your goals in 2024.

1. SMART GOALS

I feel like everyone talks about SMART goals, but there’s a reason for that. It’s a solid framework for goal-setting. SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound

This gives you clear, attainable objectives. For example, you may want to lose weight in 2024.

Okay… by how much? by when?

Your SMART goal might be that you want to lose 25 pounds over the next 6 months. This is a specific goal that you can easily measure, is attainable for most people, is relevant to your personal health, and has a time-frame of 6 months.

2. JOURNALING

Next, I highly encourage you to journal. I’m going to make a whole post about journaling but people who journal are significantly more likely to reach their goals. That’s because they are able to track and measure their efforts and progress.

3. MILESTONES

Another thing you can do to help you reach your goals is to break down larger goals into smaller milestones. If your goal is to lose 25 pounds over the next 6 months, you may have a milestone to lose 4 pounds each month. Every month, you can easily measure whether or not you have achieved your milestone goal.

4. ACCOUNTABILITY

Finally, find someone to hold you accountable to your goals. It can be just one person or it can be a bunch of people. Sharing your goals with someone keeps you responsible and adds some extra motivation. This is one of the benefits of building in public.

To recap, create SMART goals, journal your progress, set milestones, and find some accountability.

Now you are ready to crush your goals in 2024!
